Your data stays on your device
DhikrDaily is local-first. Counters, daily stats, streaks, appearance, and reminder choices are stored on your phone. There is no account, no cloud sync, and no analytics backend.
What we do not collect
We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party ads in the app. We do not upload your dhikr counts, names, or backups unless you share a file yourself.
Notifications and auto-count
Reminders and auto-count use the system notification permission you grant. Auto-count shows one persistent notification so counting can continue in the background. You can turn reminders off in Settings at any time.
Lock Screen Mode
Lock Screen Mode keeps the display awake and may dim brightness only while that session is open. It is not a live activity on the lock screen, and it does not send data off the device.
Backups you control
Export and import write or read a JSON file you choose. That file never leaves the device unless you share it through another app.
Permissions
Notifications are used for reminders and auto-count. Audio may play recitation or count sounds you enable, including in the background while you recite. Bluetooth or car hands-free play/pause can stop and resume an active auto-count session. The microphone is used only if you record your own voice for a dhikr. Brightness is adjusted only in Lock Screen Mode. Android may use a foreground service so auto-count and recitation can keep running.
Optional library content
Browsing occasion-based duas may fetch public dua text from a third-party content API. Those requests do not send your counters, streaks, or backups.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated text will appear in the DhikrDaily app and on this page with a new date. For feedback and support, use Settings → Feedback in the app, or visit the Support page.
